We have several new boots this Fall, including the gorgeous Surrey fringed boots with new detailing.

New features include texture change wooden heels and platforms, and a new buckled trim at the top, with texture change hardware.

Chukka suede ankle boots offer texture change heels and hardware and 36 sock options. You can switch off the socks and wear your own too. These are the best leaf kicking boots in SL.

Kerris is a city gal featuring covered stiletto heels & suede buckle, with texture change piping and hardware.

Fansara is a burnished leather knee boot in this seasons major colours. The back zipper is texture change, as are the heels and platforms.

High Summer, high spirits

Well you are loving our amazing new HUD for skin matching, nail polishes and so much more. This HUD will also be used for all non-Ultimate shoes where there are customisable elements. For now, let's take a closer look at the most recent additions to our store - while long August days at the beach, and hot nights in the city inspire us to get those long pixel legs out and show them off.

Cindy was the first shoe built with to utilize our new HUD. She has a simple, classical style and is destined to become a wardrobe staple among the fashionistas of Second Life. Since the launch nearly all of the shoes in the current season have been updated giving all of them many more nail choices - this season favours pearlised shades, French pedicures and soft sheen gloss. Let's see some more!

Oh hai, sexy! Grainne is adorable - a wedge/stiletto fusion, a plethora of slim ankle straps, those soft 'touch me' suedes. Gentle muted tones will take you through the end of Summer and into the mild days of early Autumn, warming and flattering all skin tones.

This is Janey, with built in knit marl scrunched socks. Lots of colour choices in the socks to tone or contrast with the leather sandals.

New patent Zena sandals have cork wedges and twenty two gorgeous nail polishes to choose from.

I have made exclusive new textures matched as closely as I can to Laqroki's gorgeous skin tones. The new high resolution textures are now the pre-sets on all new Ultimates. The first style to benefit is Tayla in ruched suede, a versatile shoe you will love.

Remember, these are detailed textures, not just tints. You can still match all other skins on the grid using our super easy direct input RGB on a white base version of our exclusive skin texture. Are you petite? Well good, cos we have stuff just for you

We have a new department especially for petite avis - shoes and boots to fit avatars from 3'5" to 5'5". These are NOT just scaled down versions of our regular shoes. Rather they have been remade and proportioned to fit perfectly the feet of petite (and child) avatars. Of course we still have our hugely popular kids department, and all the shoes there will fit petite avis, but the new department includes high heels and Ultimates designed for adults too.

All these shoes include regular and Viewer 2 compatible versions. I'll be adding more styles soon - come and try a demo!

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new year!

My first post of 2011, and I have a lot to share. I have been super busy this past week, and there are new boots, pumps and deck shoes to show for it. First let's take a look at the boots. The Georgia boots I just love; they look so snug with built in leg-warmers.

Each pair has four leg-warmer textures, three shades to co-ordinate with the boots, and classic white.

Also perfect for this long cold winter are my Slouchy boots. Tied at the ankle and textured in rich full grain leather.

Speaking of leg-warmers, there are Georgia Pumps with built in leg-warmers too. These have the same texture change as the boots, but can also be toggled off.

These are Shannen, a sock topped texture change ankle boot Each colour pack has two shades of the main colour and white, and light, dark, patterned, white and a 'no socks' option for the sock. The hardware is also texture change from gold to silver or titanium.

Another new pump just released is Elise, with a concealed platform, in soft suede with snakeskin detailing on the sides and heels.

Finally, looking towards warmer weather ( it must happen one day! ) I made some deck shoes. In soft sheen leather with texture change rawhide laces.

Slouchy socks

I have updated last winters sculpted socks and given them a nifty texture change ability! Each pair of socks has a dark and light version and a white texture.

As you can see, I have included both flat and tiptoe versions. These slouchy socks come with both regular and Viewer 2 compatible versions included. We've thought of everything - you just need to choose a colour.

Baby, it's cold outside

Yesterday someone in my update group chat was asking about legwarmers. I hadn't given them a lot of thought since my daughter stopped having ballet lessons, but apparently they are fashionable again, and it's nice to wrap up warm so I made a few sets. Each colorset has three textures, plain dark, plain light and patterned, and there are tall and short versions as well.

These are pretty snug on their own, but to up the cosy factor I then made some woollen knit hat and scarf sets, with matching mittens.

As you can see, there are two scarf styles, one looped at the front, the other wrapped around. There are wearable mittens and mittens on a string too! All are available in the same colorsets as the legwarmers.

Kunglers designs are FABULOUS

Even though I am usually to be found in my skybox, and even though I am rarely out of my jeans, I do just love Kunglers. I am a member of their update group and so recently received this stunning outfit. The skirt is all sculpty and frou frou and adorable, and the top is sexy perfection. So, I grabbed some new Ultimate Leilas, matched my skin, went for the funky green toenail polish and snapped away. I love this look, and I'm going to wear it all day!

Ooof, I had a marathon task to finish this week - listing all my current season stock on the SL Marketplace. I think we have around 200 items listed now, and there are more to add. It's a great way to shop when you can't get in world, although I do find the search functions not as good as the old xstreetsl. Possibly I am doing it wrong - I wouldn't be surprised!

Anyway, today I wanted to show you some of my Ultimates. These have direct RGB input for skin tinting, over a natural skin texture to give the best possible result. We have kept scripts to a minimum in these shoes, and each pair never has more than 7 scripts in total, 2 of which are resizers and can be deleted. You will always be able to teleport in these shoes!

These styles are available exclusively in texture change color packs. There are 4 packs in each style, and 8 colors per pack. Currently priced at L$100 per pack or L$350 for all 4. They all include both regular shoes with built in invisiprims, and shoes without invisiprims suitable for Viewer 2 and all viewers that support alpha layers. Custom alpha masks give you a perfect and seamless fit, with no bulky invisiprims or 'amputated' foot.

And of course, with either type they are just 1 attachment point (your foot!) so no problems with pant cuffs or anklets.

These also include a built in ankle lock, so that whatever pose your avi is in, your shoes will always look perfect.

Future proofing at Baby Monkey

You all know about how Viewer 2 has a feature that allows us to 'alpha' parts of our bodies, ie: make them invisible. For shoe makers this has a particular importance. We have had to use invisiprims to hide the avatar foot where it pokes through our shoes. Against most surfaces this is fine, but wherever an invisiprim is against a texture which includes an alpha layer - including the avatar mesh itself and Linden water among others, the invisiprim makes that invisible too. This causes some truly ugly and unnatural effects, and makes taking pictures a lot more work.

Ever since this feature was introduced, Baby Monkey shoes have taken full advantage of it, making custom alpha foot hiders so that our shoes can be free of invisiprims. We offer ALL the shoes in our mainstore with invisiprim-free versions, and many styles in the outlet have been upgraded too. A few styles are ONLY available without invisiprims, since they use textures which previously could not be used, such as perspex and sheer lace. Aside from these styles, all shoes include regular versions, for those customers whose viewers do not yet support alpha layers.

This is Carmen in latex textures. It has a perspex wedge and is only suitable for viewers with alpha layers supported. I think styles like this, without huge ugly surrounding invisiprims make it well worth upgrading to Viewer 2 or Imprudence!

On Sunday we are relaunching the brand with our newly rebuilt store. Have you visited yet? If not you really should, it looks stunning.
You will certainly want to stop by on Sunday to pick up the relaunch gift. This will be available for 24 hours only, and is a pair of my new Surrey Boots in Goldenrod. These all sculpted boots feature layers of fringing and were inspired by the girls of Surrey, in British Columbia, Canada. They dress these up with the shortest mini skirts, and down with their softest old denim jeans. Either way, these boots make a statement that is purely sexy and sassy!

Eden Knoller is a fashionista. And when she says, oh so casually, Pix, you need to have some slingbacks, well then clearly I need to have some slingbacks. 'What about Alana, Bette and Robyn?' I say. 'They are Ultimates', she replies, 'With a foot - they do not count - we want slingbacks we can wear will ALL our stockings'. So, slingbacks we must have. I plan to use this blog to showcase new styles as they are released. We'll begin with Samantha, a classically styled pump in tweed textures, with adorable satin bows which can be toggled on or off individually, and are texture change to each of the colours in each pack.
